About Us:

Currently, clubs are based in many New York and New England communities and new clubs are welcome in every community. Optimist members benefit by serving their community, by leadership and personal development and, by making a difference to every person they meet. Club activities are planned and lead by its members and meet the needs of each individual community. Optimist Clubs from New York - New England support communities by providing programs that bring out the best in kids. Optimist members are community volunteers who promise to live by the Optimist Creed.

Purpose

To develop optimism as a philosophy of life utilizing the tenets of the Optimist Creed; to promote an active interest in good government and civic affairs; to inspire respect for the law; to promote patriotism and work for international accord and friendship among all people; to aid and encourage the development of youth, in the belief that the giving of one’s self in service to others will advance the well-being of humankind, community life and the world.
